Rocktown Transport LLC is hiring CDL A Local Live Haul Drivers in Harrisonburg, VA. Drivers will be hauling live poultry from local poultry farms to a processing plant. Drivers will be safely delivering 3-4 loads per day. Rocktown Transport LLC is a family-owned contract carrier based in the Shenandoah Valley, specializing in the transportation of agricultural commodities including live poultry, bulk feed, and related ingredients. We proudly partner with customers ranging from individual family farms to large corporate poultry companies and cooperatives. Compensation

  • Average weekly pay: $1,500 - $2,000
    • Paid per load, 3-4 loads per day
    • Average hours weekly: 50-60
  • Bonuses:
    • Sign on bonus: $1,500 paid after 45 days employed
    • Driver referral bonus: $1,500 paid after 30 days, $500 paid after 120 days
    • Annual holiday bonus
  • Paid via direct deposit bi-weekly

Home Time, Route, & Schedule

  • Home time: Home daily
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday with some Saturdays required
  • Shift: Day shift, start times vary
  • Route: Within 80 miles of Harrisonburg, VA
  • Level of Touch: Drivers are required to secure cages using straps and levers

Equipment

  • Late model Peterbilt and Kenworth Trucks
  • Manual transmission
  • Inward & outward facing cameras

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have CDL A license
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
  • Previous live haul experience preferred
  • Must be able to operate a manual transmission
  • Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations
  • Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen
  • Hiring Radius: Drivers must live within 40 miles of Harrisonburg, VA or be willing to relocate for this position
